Berkshire Hathaway ends 14-quarter streak of cash hoarding with stock buybacks

For the first time in over three years, Berkshire Hathaway has started using its cash reserves. The company's total cash holdings dropped from $397.4 billion to $365.5 billion over the last quarter. During this period, the firm invested more than $4.5 billion to repurchase its own shares, which have seen a value increase of about 12% over the past year. This shift in strategy follows the recent transition of leadership from Warren Buffett to Greg Abel.
