Bengaluru's ORR white-topping work might be pushed back
The Outer Ring Road Companies' Association (ORRCA) has requested the BBMP to hold off on the ₹450-crore white-topping project for the ORR until the Metro line is operational. The association cautioned that carrying out road and Metro construction at the same time would likely increase traffic congestion and cause significant trouble for travelers. The planned project spans a 17-km section of the Outer Ring Road, though auxiliary tasks like bridge building, drainage improvements, and relocating utilities are permitted to proceed.
