Bengaluru tech professional leaves job to become farmer in Sullia
In 2017, Chethan Shetty, an IT professional from Bengaluru, resigned from his job and went back to Sullia in Dakshina Kannada to take up agriculture. He revamped his family's 11-acre ancestral property by adopting contemporary farming techniques and growing exotic fruits like mangosteen and rambutan. Today, his farm generates a yearly turnover of up to ₹60 lakh, and the earnings from selling rambutans even helped him construct a new home.
