Bengaluru Police help Bangladeshi woman give birth before deportation
Under 'Operation Mukta', the Bengaluru police facilitated a safe childbirth and provided care for a newborn baby of a detained Bangladeshi woman. The 22-year-old woman, Khatoon, who was held on July 17 for staying illegally, gave birth to her second daughter on August 24. Her medical care was managed by a pregnant police officer. On August 30, the family was deported back to Bangladesh through Malda in West Bengal.
