Bengal player Arun Kumar Chaurasiya banned for age fraud in U-19 cricket
The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has disqualified cricketer Arun Kumar Chaurasiya due to age manipulation. Records show he had an age gap of 115 months, or more than nine and a half years, during the 2023-24 Under-19 season. While the CAB website lists his date of birth as December 10, 2004, the 115-month discrepancy indicates he was actually around 28 years old while competing in the BCCI’s Vinoo Mankad Trophy in October 2023.
