Benchmark 10-year Indian bond yield hits 7% mark after three months
On Wednesday morning, Indian government bonds saw a decline, pushing the benchmark 10-year yield above 7% for the first time in a quarter. This shift was triggered by a worldwide selloff in debt and rising oil costs. Meanwhile, the US 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.81%, marking its peak since November 2023, and Japan’s 10-year yield reached 3% on Tuesday.
