The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has initiated the allocation of plots for the Dr. K. Shivaram Karanth Layout. Spanning 3,069 acres across 17 villages, the development features a total of 34,992 sites. Of these, approximately 18,000 plots have been set aside for the farmers and original landowners. The residential sites are valued at ₹6,000 per sq. ft., meaning a typical 30x40 ft plot is priced at ₹72 lakh.
