Bangladesh Premier League called off for the season
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to cancel this year's Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) to focus on restructuring the tournament. BCB president Tamim Iqbal pointed to several issues, including financial instability, corruption, and violations of franchise regulations. Reports indicate the board faced losses exceeding ₹31 crore during the previous two seasons. Tamim stated that he is prepared to dedicate six to 12 months to ensure the league is rebuilt correctly.
