AWS launching $1 billion initiative to embed AI engineering teams
Amazon Web Services (AWS) revealed on Tuesday a $1 billion investment to launch a Forward Deployed Engineering division, aimed at assisting clients in developing and deploying AI solutions. The company plans to dispatch teams of five to six engineers to work directly within client organizations for 45-day stints. Similar support models are currently offered by competitors such as Google Cloud, OpenAI, Anthropic, Salesforce, and Palantir.
