At what point does an EPF account cease to accrue interest?
Your EPF account will be classified as inoperative and will no longer generate interest three years following your retirement, provided you retired at age 55 or older. For instance, if you retire at 55, the account turns inoperative at 58, and if you retire at 58, it happens at 61. If you choose to retire before turning 55, your EPF will continue to gain interest until you reach 58, after which the account becomes inoperative.
