Abhijit Dowarah, 38, from Assam, has created an affordable safety gadget for flood-affected regions by repurposing old plastic bottles. The device functions as a reflector in daylight to highlight submerged dangers, while its solar-powered lights activate automatically after dark to guide pedestrians safely. To date, Abhijit has crafted more than 50 practical items using recycled waste materials.
