Assam floods caused ₹480 crore in damage, hit 26,681 homes: CM
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Monday that the recent floods in the state resulted in damages totaling ₹480 crore and impacted 26,681 homes. He further stated that ₹15,000 each has been distributed to 96,842 flood-affected families, and the administration will speed up the rebuilding of houses in the hit districts. Additionally, the state government has disbursed ₹146.26 crore for temporary relief.
