Ashok Vaswani of Kotak Mahindra Bank leads in cash pay among private bank CEOs
In the 2026 fiscal year, Kotak Mahindra Bank CEO Ashok Vaswani secured the top spot for cash-based remuneration among private sector bank heads, taking home ₹17.23 crore. When factoring in employee stock options, however, HDFC Bank Deputy MD Kaizad Bharucha holds the highest total compensation. While Bharucha earned ₹17.14 crore in cash, his complete pay package reached approximately ₹68.15 crore once ESOPs were added.
