Arnav Paparkar: First Indian in 36 years to make Wimbledon boys' quarter-finals

Tennis player Arnav Paparkar has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian in 36 years to advance to the boys' singles quarter-finals at Wimbledon 2026. The 18-year-old athlete, who hails from Pune, currently holds the 19th spot in the global ITF junior rankings. He receives his training from Prosonjit Paul at the Hemant Bendre Tennis Academy, as well as Nigel Beavers based in Spain. Previously, Paparkar secured victory at the 2023 Australian Open Under-14 Asia-Pacific Elite Trophy.
