A team from the Indian Army successfully helped a Great Himalayan Bear in the Gurez Valley of Jammu and Kashmir. The animal had been unable to consume food or water for four days because a tin container was wedged over its mouth. Soldiers worked alongside the Wildlife Department to track the bear through difficult terrain before finally removing the obstruction. The animal has since been moved to a veterinary facility, where it is being monitored until it makes a full recovery.
