Armed individual detained by police close to US Capitol
On Monday, US Capitol police apprehended a man in possession of a gun near the north barricade of the complex. Authorities instructed staff and other individuals to steer clear of the location while they conduct an investigation. Weapons are strictly banned on the Capitol premises.
