Apple stock vs. iPhone: Returns on a ₹1.5 lakh investment from last year

According to a report by Livemint, investing ₹1.5 lakh in Apple stock back in September of last year would have grown to approximately ₹2.2 lakh today. This calculation excludes taxes, fees, and dividends, marking a profit of ₹70,000 over the past 12 months. Conversely, an iPhone 17 Pro purchased for the same ₹1.5 lakh price tag would have lost value due to depreciation. It is also worth noting that Apple recently introduced the iPhone Duo, which is currently their priciest smartphone at $1,999.
