Apple claims ex-employee used its circuit designs at OpenAI
Apple has accused its former staffer Chang Liu, who currently works at OpenAI, of utilizing its power-converter circuit schematics within the startup's internal operations. The company stated that proof of this was discovered on a MacBook supplied by OpenAI as part of an active investigation into the theft of trade secrets. Apple further alleged that OpenAI was aware of Liu accessing its proprietary data and claimed that Liu attempted to enlist his colleague, Yu-Ting Peng, to assist in erasing evidence.
