According to a Moneycontrol report, Apple has started allowing credit and debit card transactions for iCloud and App Store purchases again. This feature is currently being tested with a limited number of users, marking a return after four years. Apple had previously stopped accepting card payments in India back in 2022 due to the Reserve Bank of India's guidelines on card tokenisation. Additionally, the tech giant is reportedly in discussions with various banks to introduce Apple Pay in the Indian market.
