Researchers have discovered 16 human mummies, the remains of a mummified dog, and a separate area holding at least four other individuals inside an Egyptian tomb. A researcher noted, "One detail I find quite beautiful is the...dog placed directly on top of the mummies of a man and a woman." This burial site is situated within the Theban Necropolis.
