Ancient 2,300-year-old grain wine discovered in Chinese bronze container

In China, researchers have discovered 3.74 litres of grain wine that remained sealed within a bronze container for approximately 2,300 years. The garlic-shaped vessel was unearthed at the Shanjiabao cemetery located in Ningxia and originates from the Warring States period. Experts noted that a combination of mud and textile used to seal the flask stopped the liquid from evaporating, while lab analysis verified that the substance is a fermented cereal drink from the historic Qin State.
