Alternative-fuel vehicle sales closing in on petrol cars as E20 doubts persist
Due to ongoing concerns regarding E20 fuel, buyers are increasingly shifting toward alternative options like electric, hybrid, and CNG vehicles. Data from FADA shows that in July, petrol cars represented 41.68% of passenger vehicle sales, while alternative-fuel models followed closely at 40.59%. Compared to the previous year, the market share for petrol vehicles fell by almost 6%, whereas electric and CNG models both saw an increase of roughly 3%.
