Allahabad HC judge steps away from contempt case involving IAS officer
Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava of the Allahabad High Court has withdrawn from a suo motu criminal contempt proceeding against IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal. Nagpal is accused of trying to pressure and intimidate a judicial official regarding a civil case that was currently being heard. The court has ordered that the case be transferred to a different bench that does not include Justice Srivastava.
