Air India turnaround will require a decade, says Chandrasekaran

Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran stated that revitalizing Air India is a 10-year project, rather than a five-year one. Addressing shareholders, he remarked that major airlines throughout history were developed over many decades, not just a few quarters. In FY26, Air India and Air India Express saw their combined net losses climb to ₹22,238 crore, which is more than twice the ₹10,859 crore loss recorded the year before.
