Air India CEO was once a candidate for Pakistan International Airlines: Report
According to a Bloomberg report from July, Tewolde Gebremariam, the newly appointed CEO of Air India, was a shortlisted candidate to head Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) following its planned privatization. His selection was never completed because the necessary government security approvals were still in progress. It is not known how advanced those talks were or the specific reasons why the potential appointment did not move forward.
