AIFF reports over 3.4 lakh registered football players in India
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has informed the Central Information Commission that India currently has 3,41,862 registered football players, alongside 16,295 coaches and 3,347 referees. These statistics were provided following an RTI inquiry requesting data spanning from 2015 to 2025. The RTI also requested specific information regarding the number of injuries reported by ISL clubs during the FIFA international windows in 2024 and 2025.
