Activist protesting Kaziranga luxury hotel projects taken into custody in Assam
Assam authorities have detained activist Pranab Doley following a case filed against him. Doley, who serves as the convenor for the Greater Kaziranga Land and Human Rights Protection Committee (GKLHRPC), has been at the forefront of demonstrations against the construction of luxury hotels in the vicinity of Kaziranga National Park. Akhil Gogoi, a leader from the Raijor Dal, criticized the BJP administration, alleging that they are "putting tribal people in jail for the sake of capitalists."
