AAP claims ₹22,000-crore rice distribution fraud in Delhi

Saurabh Bharadwaj, the Delhi chief of AAP, has accused officials of orchestrating a ₹22,000-crore rice scam. He claims that rice meant for Delhi’s underprivileged population was diverted through an Assam-based entity to a private firm in Haryana to generate significant profits. According to Bharadwaj, the Delhi government’s food supplies department had requested the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to provide 31,000 metric tonnes of highly subsidised rice on a weekly basis.
