6 sweet shops closed in Karnataka following FDA raids
According to an HT report, the Karnataka FDA conducted inspections at 16 sweet production facilities throughout Bengaluru and other districts, seizing food items valued at ₹5.99 lakh. Authorities discovered hundreds of kilograms of items that were either expired or incorrectly labeled, in addition to poor sanitary conditions. Six businesses were ordered to temporarily cease operations, including Bikaner Sweets located on Magadi Road in Bengaluru, Maharaja Sweets in Kalaburagi, and Swagath Sweets in Mangaluru.
