37 sets of human remains discovered in massive stone jar in Laos

Archaeologists working at the Plain of Jars in Laos have unearthed the remains of 37 individuals inside a large stone vessel. This marks the first instance of a jar being discovered containing complete skeletons. The site dates back to between AD 890 and 1160, indicating that ancient burial rituals were quite intricate. Experts are currently working to extract DNA to determine the origins of these people, although the humid tropical environment is making the process difficult.
