Archaeologists working at the Plain of Jars in Laos have unearthed the remains of 37 individuals inside a large stone vessel. This marks the first instance of a jar being discovered containing complete skeletons. The site dates back to between AD 890 and 1160, indicating that ancient burial rituals were quite intricate.
