16 Sultanpur Lodhi villages remain at risk from Beas river a year after floods
Twelve months following the severe flooding that hit Sultanpur Lodhi, people living in 16 of the most impacted villages state they are still at risk and are calling for more robust embankments to be built along the Beas river. Conversely, the Kapurthala administration asserts that they have already completed significant work to reinforce embankments and install spurs since the disaster occurred last year.
