A 12-year-old boy named Sunil lost his life after being pulled into the Ghaghra River by a crocodile in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. The tragedy happened while the boy was cleaning himself after helping his uncle in a nearby paddy field. Although local residents attempted to save him by pelting the animal with stones and sticks, the crocodile managed to drag him beneath the surface. The boy's body was eventually retrieved from the water.
