Why is Parliament still technically in session over a week after adjournment?

Even though both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned sine die, the Parliament is technically still in session eleven days later. The session only officially concludes once a prorogation notification is released, which typically happens within three to four days. As long as the house has not been prorogued, it can be reconvened without the need for new summons.
