WHO confirms conclusion of hantavirus outbreak on MV Hondius

This follows the final individual exposed to the virus completing their quarantine period and returning a negative test result. According to the WHO, health officials tracked and monitored over 650 contacts throughout 33 different countries and territories. Hantavirus is transmitted by rodents and currently lacks any specific medical treatment or vaccine.
