Which H-1B visa applicants will avoid the new US fee increase?
The US Department of Homeland Security is planning to introduce a surcharge of $103,265 (approximately ₹98 lakh) for H-1B visas. This extra charge will not affect H-1B applications that are not subject to the yearly limit, such as those submitted by specific nonprofit groups, government-run research bodies, and universities. Additionally, the fee will not be required for employees who have already been accounted for under the existing H-1B cap.
