WhatsApp network assists in Nepal flood tunnel rescue
A group of 500 engineers is using WhatsApp to coordinate rescue efforts within the tunnel systems of damaged hydropower plants in Nepal's Trishuli valley, following the flash floods on August 26. On September 4, two individuals were successfully rescued from a tunnel. The disaster has claimed over 1,200 lives, with more than 4,000 people still missing and many feared to be trapped inside underground facilities.
