West Bengal to Set Up Dedicated Anti-Terrorist Squad
To tackle terror networks and the rising drug trade in the state, the West Bengal Cabinet has cleared the establishment of a specialized Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and an Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF). For the ATS unit, the state government has approved 461 permanent and regular positions, along with five contractual roles for specialists in cyber surveillance, digital data analysis, and technical support.
