Wayne Rooney completes World Cup wager by rowing on the Hudson River
Ex-England skipper Wayne Rooney spent his Saturday rowing across the Hudson River in New York as a penalty for a lost World Cup wager. Rooney previously pledged to row along the River Mersey in Liverpool should Norway beat Brazil to secure a spot in the quarter-finals. Since he was currently in New York for his broadcasting work, he fulfilled the forfeit on the Hudson alongside colleagues Joe Hart and Micah Richards.
