Blazes in eastern Washington have razed 600 homes, commercial properties, and various other buildings, leading to the evacuation of nearly 60,000 residents. The fires near Spokane, the state's second-biggest city, consumed approximately 8.2 square miles (21 square kilometres) throughout the weekend.
