VinFast halts production of 3 SUV models in India shortly after launch
According to a Reuters report, Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has put a temporary hold on its plans to produce the VF3, VF6, and VF7 SUVs within India. The company struggled to reach the necessary cost goals for local component development. Currently, VinFast brings these vehicles into India as kits from Vietnam for assembly in Tamil Nadu. The automaker had officially entered the Indian market in September 2025.
