Vijay promises memorial for Karur stampede victims, calls district close to his heart

During his maiden visit to Karur as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay described the stampede in the district as an "unforgettable" tragedy. Expressing that "Karur will never leave my heart," he declared that the TVK party would construct a memorial in the area to pay tribute to the 41 individuals who died in the incident. The stampede occurred last year at a TVK rally.
