VA Tech WABAG, backed by Rekha Jhunjhunwala, wins major contract in Austria

VA Tech WABAG has landed a significant global contract from the City of Vienna to expand the Donauinsel Water Works in Austria. This project is slated for completion by 2030 and involves providing the full technology suite for a drinking water plant with an 86 MLD capacity. As of March 2026, Rekha Jhunjhunwala maintained an 8.02% shareholding in the company.
