Uzbekistan joins the list of nations adopting India's UPI
India has entered into an agreement with Uzbekistan to implement the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), aiming to simplify international transactions for Indian travelers. Currently, UPI services are active in Bhutan, Nepal, Singapore, the UAE, France, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Qatar, Cambodia, Greece, and the Maldives, facilitating seamless cross-border payments. Additionally, India has finalized deals to introduce UPI in Israel and Indonesia, though these systems are not yet live.
