Uttarakhand teen chosen as India's only participant for North Pole mission
Lucky Rawat, a 15-year-old student hailing from Uttarakhand, has been picked as the only representative from India for a 10-day journey to the North Pole. Travelers from 22 different nations set off from Russia toward the Arctic and are scheduled to head back once they hit 90° North latitude. To earn their spots, candidates had to pass a rigorous three-level selection process, which resulted in one student being chosen per country.
