US to permanently implement visa bond requirement for 50 countries
The United States is moving to make its visa bond pilot scheme a permanent policy, impacting 50 nations such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. This mandate targets individuals applying for tourist and business visas, requiring them to deposit a bond reaching up to $20,000 prior to their visa appointment. The measure is designed to reduce instances of visa overstaying. These funds will be returned to the traveler if their visa application is rejected or if they adhere to all visa regulations.
