US operating covert oil transit route in Strait of Hormuz
According to Axios, citing American officials, the US military has set up a clandestine shipping lane in the Strait of Hormuz. This route is enabling millions of barrels of oil to be transported out of the Gulf every day, even amid the ongoing conflict. This initiative has been active for a few weeks now. Currently, approximately 10 million barrels of oil are passing through the strait daily, which is about 50 percent of the volume seen before the war.
