US judge blocks 9/11 mastermind’s confession, citing CIA coercion

A military judge in the US has decided that the confession provided by 9/11 attack mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is inadmissible in court. The judge pointed to "severe coercion and psychological conditioning" used by the CIA as the reason. Additionally, the judge noted that FBI agents deliberately withheld information from Mohammed regarding his right to legal counsel. Mohammed was originally taken into custody in Pakistan back in 2003.
