US Federal Reserve maintains interest rates for seventh straight month

During its July policy meeting, the US Federal Reserve opted to hold interest rates steady within the 3.5% to 3.75% range, marking the seventh month in a row without a change. While nine of the 12 policymakers backed this decision, three members cast votes in favor of increasing rates by a quarter of a percentage point. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh noted that the primary objective remains maintaining inflation at a sustainable level.
