Udhayanidhi Stalin freed shortly after arrest for comments about Trisha

DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin walked out of the Sengipatti Police Station in Thanjavur on Tuesday evening. He had been taken into custody earlier that day following accusations regarding a suggestive comment he made about actress Trisha. Before his release, the state government, led by Vijay, informed the High Court that they had no plans to hold him in detention.
