UAE works to bypass Strait of Hormuz with port expansion
Thani Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Trade, stated that the nation is committed to eliminating its reliance on the Strait of Hormuz, even if the waterway remains open following a US-Iran ceasefire. The UAE is currently developing its eastern ports, including Fujairah, Khor Fakkan, and Dibba, while also putting resources into new pipelines, railways, and road networks. Additionally, plans are underway for a second oil pipeline designed to increase export volumes via Fujairah.
